Maple’s career is one lie away from imploding.

As the first trans woman and youngest showrunner in Betteraves & Betrayals’ history, Maple Defleuvier has much to prove, with a lot resting on her shoulders. The daytime soap has been a pillar of Canadian culture for 70 years and remains the main economic driver for the small town of Sobriquet Lake.

When her latest lie about securing the return of recluse actress Daphne Dutrignon backfires, Maple has no choice but to team up with international superstar Salvatore Suàrez to get Daphne back to the show and save everyone’s job.

Things take a turn for the worse when someone sabotages them and tries to kill Maple.

Will Salvatore and his secret identity be enough to protect her?
